One Pot Bolognese

  • 16 oz. Rigatoni
  • 16 oz. Marinara Sauce
  • 1 ½ cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 lb. Lean Ground Beef
  • 2 Celery Stalks finely chopped
  • 1 large Carrot finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp. Italian Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp. Flour
  • Grated Parmesan for serving
  • Fresh Basil, chopped for serving


  • In a large pot over medium high heat, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente. Drain the pasta, spray cold water over top, then toss in olive oil. 
  • In the same pot over medium high heat, add the olive oil to heat up for 1 minute. Add the garlic and ground beef. Use a wooden spoon to break up the beef and cook until browned, about 2 minutes. 
  • Add in the chopped carrots, celery, and yellow onion. Stir to combine, cook an additional 3 minutes.
  • Stir in the flour, seasoning, chicken broth, and marinara sauce. Cover the pot with the lid, then simmer on low for 10-20 minutes, or until fully cooked. 
  • When ready to serve, stir in pasta. Top with grated parmesan and freshly chopped basil. Enjoy with Vita Ice Pink Grapefruit for a refreshing drink!
