Preheat oven to 350F. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large skillet over medium high heat, add one tablespoon olive oil to heat up.
In the meantime, mix the ground beef and taco seasoning just until combined, be careful not to over mix. Add to the heated skillet, cook until browned and fully cooked.
Spread out half of the tortilla chips onto the prepared pan. Evenly spread out half the browned beef and half the shredded cheese on top. Repeat with a second layer of each.
Bake for 7-8 minutes, or until the cheese if melted.
Top with your favorite toppings such as chopped avocado, tomatoes, jalapeños, cilantro, and red onion.
